Miniature Royal Doulton Character Jug. OLD SALT - "OPEN ARM". Height: 2 1/2, 6.4cm. No chips, cracks or restoration. This example of the popular Old Salt jug is the miniature size with the mermaid handle with the hollow crook to the arm.

There were production difficulties with the initial design and shortly after the first issue run the mermaid was re-designed with the arm moulded to the body.
