Rare Royal Doulton Prototype Character Jug The Fireman

The jug has a red helmet with the London Fire Brigade badge (as opposed to the generic badge used on the production version), gold buttons on the jacket, silver axe head and silver hose nozzle with white collar. Similar jug is featured in A Century of Royal Doulton Character & Toby Jugs by Stephen Mullins. Excellent condition, no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.

Prototype backstamp as shown in photo. Height: 4 1/4 inches high. All items are safely and securely packed using bubble wrap, foam chips and strong boxes.
