This gorgeous detailed hand painted handmade Royal Doulton Character Jug named Beefeater D6206 was designed by Harry Fenton, and was issued between 1953 and 1987. This Character Jug features a Beefeater. The Beefeaters, are ceremonial guardians of the Tower of London. In principle they are responsible for looking after any prisoners in the Tower and safeguarding the British crown jewels. Standing approximately 6 1/2" tall x 6" wide, he is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs, and no fading.
