The large-sized PRISTINE FIRST QUALITY Royal Doulton flambe character jug offered is number 240 in a limited edition of 1500. It was produced in 1994. It has always been displayed in a smoke-free, pet-free home at constant temperature to prevent crazing. It is a one-owner jug. This was the first jug to be decorated in flambe.

This piece comes with a laminated certificate of authenticity signed by Michael Doulton. The base of the jug is also signed by Michael Doulton. The original box is available. It is not the conventional blue box.

The box is red like the flambe and has a bit more style to it than the conventional blue Royal Doulton box.
