Captain James Cook Large Character Jug Signed by Michael Doulton! Rare

Limited Edition #205 Royal Doulton Character Jug - "Captain James Cook" D7077. Signed on the bottom by Michael Doulton. Jug is approximately 6.5 tall and was produced during the period 1996, and is limited edition #205 of 2,500. Captain Cook dons a naval uniform and cap with yellow trim and gold buttons. In a striking tribute to the famous navigator and explorer, this character jug incorporates a first-ever feature in it's handle: a working compass. This jug was issued by Lawleys By Post in a limited edition of 2,500 to commemorate the life and times of Captain Cook (1728 - 1779). All photos are mine and are of the actual item.
