

Large Character Toby Mug of Catherine Howard D6645. Fine porcelain by Royal Doulton in the 1953. Near mint condition meaning no original box if there was one and a few scuff marks only on the bottom contact surface. Stands a significant 7" high x 7" wide at its widest point to the handle. Niece to the Duke of Norfolk, Catherine Howard became Henry VIII's fifth wife on July 28, 1540.
Accused of adultery, in 1541 he had her beheaded at The Tower of London. Well maintained among a toby mug collection.
