Rare c1941 Winston Churchill Character Jug, 6 White Porcelain Minton England. We are starting to liquidate many of our collectible pieces. We keep getting more and just do not have the room for them. In addition to other pieces we have a collection of Royal Doulton Character Jugs or Mugs. As most collectors know the Character Jugs usually just feature the head and shoulders of the subject, while the Toby Jug is usually the full body of a seated person, These pieces are all in excellent condition unless we list otherwise.

Some are also new, which we will indicate. We are open to any reasonable offers on our pieces. Rare c1941 Winston Churchill Character Jug that is about 6" tall and 4.75" wide. What makes this piece so special is that it is made of White Porcelain. There are smaller sizes but we could not find them. This is one of our oldest pieces. For his age he is in fabulous condition. We see almost no crazing and only a few little marks. Almost as perfect as Winston himself. We have other Churchill pieces coming. This Winston Churchill character jug was designed by Eric Owen and produced by Minton of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1941. He was Always known for his ever present Cigar. And apart from two years between 1922 and 1924, he was a Member of Parliament (MP) from 1900 to 1964 and represented a total of five constituencies. Ideologically an economic liberal and imperialist, he was for most of his career a member of the Conservative Party, which he led from 1940 to 1955.
