Royal Doulton Character Jug, Captain James Cook D7077 (naval uniform and cap, yellow trim, gold buttons). Harper, issued 1997 in limited edition of 2,500. In a striking tribute to the famous navigator and explorer, this character jug incorporates a first-ever feature in it's handle: a working compass. This jug was issued by Lawleys By Post in a limited edition of 2,500 to commemorate the life and time of Captain Cook (1728 - 1779).

Needs a good cleaning which I will leave for the new owner.
