This is the first version with the older, comical face. The second version has a younger and sad face. Has no D number, only the Royal Doulton logo on the underside. Condition is like brand new on the day it was made. NO chips NO cracks NO hairlines NO restorations NO damage. Prototype - never put into production.

Probably less than 3 or 7 known to exist at best in each version. But don't quote me on that as I do not know. So maybe here today and gone.
