Beautifully designed and colored Royal Doulton Character Jug of SANTA CLAUS D6794 (with Wreath Handle). Height is about 7 1/4 inches.

Excellent pre-owned overall inside and outside condition. No chips, no cracks, no crazing. Sound of a very tiny thing inside the handle when you flip the jug.

This is a common occurrence in many pottery jugs and figurines where there is a confined space (here, is the handle) and a very very tiny bit of the modeling clay, at a minute end of that space, separates when the firing at 1160 deg. F, coloring, glazing, and firing again occur.
