Royal Doulton gorgeously designed and colored Character Jug of ST. Issued in 1998 only in a Limited Edition of 2500. This one is marked number 408. It has the Dragon Handle with the flag of the time.

Height is about 7 1/2 inc. Relatively larger and heavier than standard Royal Doulton jugs. Saint George (Died 303) was a Christian who is venerated as a saint in Christianity. According to tradition he was a soldier in the Roman army of Cappadocian Greek origin and member of the Praetorian Guard for Roman emperor Diocletian. He was sentenced to death for refusing to recant his Christian faith.
