This set of 4 Royal Doulton character jugs depicts the characters of Alexandre Dumas 1844 French historical, adventure novel "Les Trois Mousquetaires". Set circa 1625, the novel chronicles the adventures of D'Artagnan, who hopes to join the 3 Musketeers. Though he is not able to join immediately, he is befriended by the three most famous of the musketeers-Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. You are getting All 4 in this listing. All are the large sized jugs. Athos, D6452, by Max Henk in 1955 measures 7 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" wide by 6 deep. Porthos, D6440, by Max Henk in 1955 measures 7 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" wide by 6 deep. Aramis, D6441, by Max Henk in 1955 measures 7 1/2" tall by 7 1/2" wide by 6 deep. D'Artagnan, D6691, by Stanley Taylor in 1982, measures 7 1/2" tall by 8" wide by 6 1/2 deep.
