This is a fabulous piece from Royal Doulton. It is a large Toby or character jug representing King Henry VIII and his six wives. The jug itself is Henry and the each handle depicts three of his wives. It is designed with muted colors, with the exception of yellow.

The piece was produced as a celebration of the 500th anniversary of the king's birth. It was made in 1990 and this is a limited edition of 1991. The COA shows that this piece is 485 of 1991. The Royal Doulton production number is D6888.

It measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 7 inches wide and 5 inchess long. The jug is in good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
