Royal Doulton THE LONDON BOBBY Large Toby Character Mug Jug England N Mint w/Box + Signed Twice. Here is a great example of this classic Royal Doulton London Bobby (Police). Large 7 version made almost 40 years ago. The mug is near mint /mint still in the original box which is hard to find.

Each Royal Doulton Mug Jug is hand painted, hand crafted and hand decorated, and modeled by Stanley James Taylor. This Great Character Mug is Showing a London Bobby with his shield atop his hat that is written "Metropolitan Police". His whistle and Big Ben form the handle. He has no chips, cracks or damage of any kind. Measures Approximately: 7 1/2" high x 6" wide.

Also and maybe more importantly it was signed on the bottom by Michael Doulton and dated. There is also a store display standing porcelain sign which is also is signed by Michael Doulton. It's a great example of a vintage Royal Doulton piece.
